7th Annual Black Bay Walleye Invitational Supports Foundation » 2017-Aug-25

This year marked the 7th Annual Black Bay & Bob Simpson Memorial Walleye Invitational hosted by Big Fish Ontario on July 14th to July 15th, 2017. For the past three seasons of this event, organizer Darrell Splett has raised charitable funds for George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation. These donations were raised by both angler entry fees and participant donations. This year alone, Big Fish Ontario donated over $4,800 to enrich children’s lives at George Jeffrey Children’s Centre! Winners of this year’s invitational were Shelley Hackborn with the biggest catch measuring 29 inches and smallest catch winner, Tom Brunes – congratulations to you both! Darrell and his wife Susie feel the donation is a great way to pay it forward and to recognize the exceptional care that their daughter Karlie has received at the Centre. The Splett family look forward to next year’s event doing even more for George Jeffrey Children’s Centre!
